What is Realm Hunt?

Realm Hunt is a free, turn-based hunting RPG that you play in your browser. You are a hunter for hire: take a contract, prepare for the beast, fight it one decision at a time and turn its broken horns, wings and scales into better gear. Every fight is short, readable and tactical – the beast always shows what it is about to do, so winning is about choices, not luck.

How a hunt works

1 · Take a contract

Villages post beasts that need killing. Pick one that fits your rank – or take the Hunt of the Week.

2 · Prepare

Study the bestiary. Coat your blade with an oil against that beast family, drink a brew, choose the right gear.

3 · Read and fight

Every turn the beast shows its next move. Dodge what can be dodged, block what can’t, and strike the part you want to break. Repeat the same defence and you run out of breath.

4 · Carve and forge

Broken parts stop attacks and drop the rarest materials. Bring them to the Forge and smith weapons and armor from your kills.

Choose your hunter

Four classes, four ways to fight. Your skills grow when you use them, and levels let you build the hunter you want.

Witchhunter class portrait

Witchhunter

A balanced monster hunter with a fire sign. The best start if you are new.

Stalker class portrait

Stalker

Swift blades and critical hits. Breaks parts faster than anyone.

Wanderer class portrait

Wanderer

A heavy warrior who breaks the enemy’s balance and staggers it.

Runemage class portrait

Runemage

Fragile but deadly with frost and lightning signs.

Four realms

Each realm opens as your Hunter Rank grows, with new beasts, new materials and a rule that changes how you fight.

The Mistmarsh

The Mistmarsh

Fog, bogs and village contracts. Oils hit harder here. Boss: the Mossfather.

The Wildlands

The Wildlands

Steppes and cliffs. Broken parts yield double materials. Boss: Thunderback.

The Shattered Land

The Shattered Land

Ash and ember under a withered tree. A stagger hits for ×2.5. Boss: the Knight of the Ash Blade.

The Northreach

The Northreach

Frozen peaks and barrows – and a dragon that has woken. Boss: Rimewing.

The endgame: hardened bosses and armor sets

At Hunter Rank 5 the four bosses return hardened – tougher, with new signature attacks. They drop the cores for four armor sets. Each set has a clear style, a strength against its own boss and a weakness, so there is no single best answer: you build for the beast in front of you and save up to three builds to switch between.

Mossguard

Endurance. Outlast rot and attrition. Stronger oils and potions.

Stormhide

Light. Cheap dodges and hard-hitting counters.

Ashen Plate

Heavy. Better blocks, bigger staggers – but less stamina.

Winterbound

Caster. Stronger signs that heal you as they strike.

Something new every day and every week

Daily contracts

Three small tasks every day and a chest when you finish them. Build a streak for bigger rewards – missing a single day only pauses it.

Hunt of the Week

The same beasts, the same rule and the same fate for every hunter. One target per realm, plus a hardened boss with its own extra rule.

Bronze, silver and gold

The weekly hardened hunt is scored with an open formula: turns against par, parts broken, health left and potions used. Reach a tier once and it is yours forever.

Hall of Hunters

Leaderboards for Hunter Rank, fastest boss kills and the weekly hunts. Every online hunt is fought on the server, so the scores are real.

Share your hunt

After a victory, create a hunt report image with the beast, your turns, your score, the parts you broke and your gear – and challenge a friend to beat it.

Hunt journal

Your last 20 hunts with damage dealt and taken, dodges, blocks, staggers and potions, so you can see what worked.

Make it yours – fairly

Achievements unlock titles, rune sigils, frames and hit effects that show in battle and on the leaderboards. They are purely cosmetic: nothing you earn changes your combat numbers, and nothing you have earned can be taken away. There is no pay-to-win and no energy timer – hunt as much as you like.

Play anywhere

Questions

Is Realm Hunt free?

Yes. It runs in your browser on desktop and mobile – nothing to install, no energy timers and no pay-to-win.

Do I need an account?

No. You start as a guest. Create an account in the Hall of Hunters when you want to keep your hunter safe and play it on other devices.

How long does a hunt take?

A few minutes. Normal beasts fall in a handful of turns; bosses and hardened bosses are longer, tactical fights.

Are the leaderboards fair?

Every online hunt is fought on the server with hidden randomness, and the hunt score is calculated there too, so results can’t be edited in the browser. Only hunters created online appear on the boards.

Will I lose anything if I skip a week?

No. Achievements, titles and other cosmetics are permanent once earned, and a missed day only pauses your daily streak.

Which languages are there?

English and Swedish today, with more to come.
